Now that version 2 of the growing gaming site has been launched, there was no reason to look anywhere else for a new CMS. Joomla! is still the perfect choice, it was easy to build on was was already there. Once the new design was ready, it only took a day to build it and add the new features that were planned. Joomla! has helped us to do everything that was needed with minimal effort.

New joomplates.com template package: MP Majev

Joomplates.com (http://www.joomplates.com) released MP Majev, a new template package for Mambo and Joomla! The package includes six different versions of the same template. MP Majev is a fixed width two or three colums theme with a lots of moduleposition (a total of 10). Most of them appears or disappears dynamically if you publish or unpublish the corresponding module. For example: If you publish a module on moduleposition newsflash a third colum appears between the main content and the right menu. You can use this third colum to display additonal content or modules. (test it: 2cols (http://www.majev.mamplates.net/index.php) vs. 3cols (http://www.majev.mamplates.net/index.php?option=com_content task=view id=5 Itemid=6)). So it is very easy to get a completely different look without changing the template or the Joomla/Mambo installation. The Majev templates are optimized for screenresolutions of 1024x768 or more and they based on XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.0 valid code (W3C specifications). Because of the dynamic look feel you can use the template for a width range of website types/projects, like shops, communities, business websites, blogs and many more. Visit the MP Majev Product Page (http://www.joomplates.com/product_info.php?products_id=88)Visit the MP Majev Preview Page (http://www.majev.mamplates.net)

Thanks! 2 weeks from newbie to- well up and running!

(http://www.stompground.com)Just a quick thanks to all the Joomla! team as well as the wonderful community of developers (components, bots and modules). We run a printing company (http://www.stompground.com) in Australia, we were so surprised at how easy this whole thing is! If you are a newbie reading these forums, we recommend you just jump in the deep end and learn to swim by swimming (on a test site first of course!!). We found that we were easily able to create a printing news (http://www.stompground.com/printing-news/index.php) section with feeds from feed gator (get this!). We plan now to build detailed info categories for each of my pruducts: flyer printing (http://www.stompground.com/special-offers-/11.html), brochure printing (http://www.stompground.com/special-offers-/10.html), postcard printing (http://www.stompground.com/special-offers-/12.html) and business card printing (http://www.stompground.com/special-offers-/9.html). If you are in business, and you want some quick easy tips on printing, bookmark the site and check the tips section as it grows. Any feedback on the site is greatly appreciated! If you hate the design (actually I'n not too fussed either) and think you create me a better template, please feel free to contact me through the website! (I would love a funky 3 column template especially designed for my printing business!)
